Remembering to Take Your Medicine

It is important for you to take your medications, as doing so consistently will help with your recovery. Remember, there may have been a blockage in your heart, and these medications can help this.

Below are some strategies to help you remember to take your medications on time everyday:

  • Use pill boxes. Pill boxes acts as a visual reminder of whether or not you’ve taken your pills and can be purchased at most pharmacies and grocery stores.
  • Use smartphone apps. Most smartphones have apps that can send you reminders on your phone to take your next dose.
  • Use paper printouts. You may still like like a piece of paper where you can mark each time you take your medication. You can download your own form or print one from the American Heart Association website.

You can use all or one, and it doesn’t matter which you like best as long as it helps you take your medications at the same time each day.
