When to Call Your Doctor
There are ways to control your blood sugar if it is either too low or too high. However, there are some times when you should call the doctor. You should call the doctor if:
- Your blood sugar stays over 300 mg/dL.
- You have two or more low blood sugar readings below 70 mg/dL.
- You’re sick for more than two days, and you’re not getting better.
- You have a fever of 101.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
- You’re vomiting or having diarrhea for more than six hours.
