Most procedures are performed using the da Vinci® Surgical System (minimally invasive), which reduces length of hospital stay.
- All insurance companies require you to complete a 3-6 month medically supervised nutrition program and have a psychological evaluation.
- Some insurance companies may require other evaluations including a sleep apnea study, an exercise tolerance evaluation, an evaluation by a cardiologist, and/or blood work.
- Additional requirements will be discussed at your initial consult.
Patients can attend free support groups before and after surgery.
