MedStar Health InFocus
MedStar Health InFocus (InFocus) is a health information website that provides health and healthcare related content to patients of MedStar Health, a not-for-profit health care organization operating in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.
Since July 2017, InFocus has provided education to thousands of patients seeking to learn more about their health and care. MedStar Health leaders throughout the system handpicked common conditions and procedures for the development of comprehensive educational bundles across multiple service lines. Available online to any internet ready device, the platform is easily accessible and shared amongst patients and their family members. InFocus continues to grow its content offerings yearly, helping to ease patient anxiety and uncertainty through education.
MedStar SiTEL
InFocus is managed by MedStar Simulation Training & Education Lab (MedStar SiTEL), who develops original learning content tailored to create specific educational solutions for clinical and non-clinical professionals and patients. Our instructional design experts work alongside health care teams to identify learning objectives, create and deliver an experience that meets learner needs, enhances performance and patient experience.
Thoughtful education design merged with the creative power of writers, artists and photographers ensures learning is both engaging and effective for health professionals in all roles. Creative capabilities include graphic design, video production and photography, as well as serious games development for desktop, mobile and virtual reality platforms.
